Beckham's Boost
VICTORIA BECKHAM's eponymous label is set to earn more than
£60 million this year, a spokesperson for the label has said - and, with her
secondary Victoria
by Victoria Beckham label launching for spring/summer 2012, that figure is
set to rise for the coming year.
The Vogue
cover girl launched
her line in September 2008 and from small, intimate, salon-style
presentations has grown to a fully-fledged catwalk show on the New York
schedule. This season saw her present her debut
collection for her lower-priced Victoria By Victoria Beckham label,
comprising witty animal-printed dresses and colour pop shifts that the new
mother has been sporting herself.
Sales for the mainline exceeded £15 million for the first
three months of 2011, up more than 70 per cent on last year, the Daily Mail
reports, whilst turnover increased from £1.3 million to £2.8 million for the
same period. An official financial statement has not yet been released by the
brand.
