Jacobs On Board
THE CFDA has enlisted two new board members, one of whom you
might be surprised to hear wasn't a member already: Marc Jacobs.
The NY-born designer will be joined on the board by Proenza
Schouler duo Jack McCullough and Lazaro Hernandez, who were named 2011's
Council of Fashion Designers of America Womenswear Designer of the Year at a ceremony in
June.
The trio - who were confirmed at a members' meeting
yesterday following nominations in July - will join the group of 26 designers
on the board, including Calvin Klein's Francisco Costa, Oscar de la Renta,
Narciso Rodriguez and Tory Burch.
Nicole Miller, John Bartlett and Richard Lambertson will
leave the board of directors and become members on the Emeritus board, WWD
reports.
