Baby Blue
Beyoncé and Jay-Z left the New
York City's Lenox Hill Hospital with their baby girl Blue Ivy late last night.
The family are thought to have headed home in a procession of vehicles with
blacked out windows, leaving from the hospital's side gate. The couple welcomed
their first child on Saturday.

Beyoncé and Jay-Z have spoken about the birth of their daughter Blue for
the first time, releasing a statement to welcome the new arrival.
"Hello Hello Baby Blue!" it
said. "We are happy to announce the arrival of our beautiful
daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, born on Saturday, January 7, 2012. Her birth was
emotional and extremely peaceful, we are in heaven. She was delivered
naturally at a healthy 7 lbs and it was the best experience of both of our
lives. We are thankful to everyone for all your prayers, well wishes, love and
support."

Monday January 9, 8:31am: Beyoncé and
husband Jay-Z have welcomed their first child - a daughter named Blue Ivy
Carter. The child's middle name is thought to reference the couple's lucky
number, four, which they both wear on their wedding fingers in Roman numeral
form: IV. Both Beyoncé and Jay-Z were born on the fourth - of September
and December respectively - and married on April 4, 2008.
Mother and baby are well, Beyoncé's
hometown newspaper the Houston
Chronicle reported today, and celebrity friends
of the couple including Vogue cover girls Rihanna and Gwyneth Paltrow have already Tweeted their
congratulations.
The singer's sister Solange - who is
set to become our Today I'm Wearing star for February - Tweeted that her
new niece is the "most beautiful girl in the world".
Following Blue's arrival, stylish stars
including Julia Restoin Roitfeld, Lily Aldridge and Alessandra Ambrosio are
also expecting babies in 2012.
