A Jaeger Year
JAEGER has posted yearly pre-tax profits
of £772,000 - down from £2.22 million in the same period the year before.
However, following the end of the British brand's Japanese license agreement,
underlying profits grew to £6.2 million.
"The
London market has been very positive," Jaeger chairman Harold Tillman told theIndependent. "Outside of London certain
parts of the country have been strong, but overall it has been
challenging."
Last year
the label expanded its international presence, signing a new contract with one of Russia's leading
luxury brand distributors JamilCo, and opening two new stores in Moscow.
Jaeger was also recruited to re-designKensington Palace's staff uniform, to be unveiled on March 26.
