World Of Stella
STELLA
MCCARTNEY is taking
over Selfridges from January 26 to February 14 - and 50 lucky VOGUE.COM readers
will have the chance to get close to the London designer, watching as Vogue editorAlexandra
Shulman interviews her. McCartney will be
visiting various elements of Selfridges' World of Stella exhibition on February
8, before sitting down for a rare and intimate chat with Shulman followed by a
cocktail party.
McCartney will arrive
at 6pm to sign bottles of her L.I.L.Y fragrance,
which launches exclusively at Selfridges, before visiting the
installation which will house her Adidas My2012 by Stella McCartney collection on the ground floor: McCartney's first
offering to celebrate the London 2012 Olympic Games, for which she has designed the Team GB kits.
"The starting
point of this collection was to kick-off 2012 in style and celebrate the 2012
Olympic Games being hosted by London," McCartney told us. "The
designs are intended to have an exciting energy and we worked around simple
silhouettes in navy and grey marl, contrasted with bright block panels and
prints to keep the collection fun and relaxed. A personal favourite of mine is
the simple, laid-back sweater dress."
Also part of the
World of Stella is a lingerie pop-up, and accessories wall, a sunglasses
section, a ready-to-wear mainline shop-in-shop, and a childrenswear offering -
all with added fun extras; from face painting and lingerie monogramming, to the
chance to win a £1,500 Stella shopping spree.
Email
worldofstella@selfridges.co.uk for your chance to attend the chat with
Stella.
